Sure, we all have heard of the MOTH for Storytellers, or the various standup comedy OPEN MICS all over the city for comedians, but what about an OPEN MIC made for Solo Artist to work out material for their ONE PERSON PLAYS?
Join Jessica Lynn Johnson and the Soaring Solo Community for an evening of bite size pieces of solo theatre on ZOOM.
You are welcome to enjoy as an online audience member or if you want to perform an excerpt from your solo show in front of an audience to see what is working and what isn’t, that’s cool too!
SIGN UP ON THE PERFORMANCE LIST when you log on to the Zoom link by RAISING YOUR VIRTUAL HAND and Jessica will try to give as many solo artists as she can time to try out 6 minutes of their material. Notes, scripts AND memorized material is ALL ok!
$5 SUGGEST DONATION for this event and a portion of the proceeds will go toward efforts to save the Whitefire Theatre of Sherman Oaks as well as to support Soaring Solo LLC as a small business during this troubling time.
VIRTUAL DOORS OPEN AT 5:50PM to begin signup. It will be first come first serve plus a handful of curated special guest solo artists who will have been preselected by Jessica to share throughout the night.
OPEN MIC SHOW STARTS PROMPTLY AT 6PM and runs until 8:30PM (PST).
